Revellers enjoying themselves in the High Street which has
been closed to traffic. At the northern end there was a disco. The
Interflora shop was licensed as a temporary bar. |

It was a mild night (7degs C) with some very light drizzle
at times but this didn't keep the people of Haslemere indoors. The High
Street was packed. |

A hog roast was on the menu. |
 |
At the stroke of midnight people were singing and dancing in
the street. |

This was followed by a firework display. |
 |
As well as looking pretty there were some very noisy ones
too. |
