| The fishing village of Câmera
de Lobos, 9 km to the west of Funchal. It is a well known fact that
Winston Churchill loved this village after he came here in 1950; he
created a painting of this village. As well as a fishing village,
Câmera de Lobos also produces wine and bananas on the upper slopes.
To the west of Câmera de Lobos is Cape Girâo. These towering cliffs (580m above sea level) are the second highest sea cliffs in the world. |

Funchal. É um fato bem sabido que Winston Churchill amou esta vila depois que veio aqui em 1950; criou uma pintura desta
vila. Uma vila da pesca, Câmera de Lobos produz também o vinho e as bananas nas inclinações superiores.
Ao ao oeste de Câmera de Lobos é o cape Girâo. Estes penhascos elevados (580m acima do nível de mar) são os segundos penhascos os mais elevados do mar no mundo. |
